At last, a stock proof Ride Over Gate™

Cruise the farm without ever leaving your 4-Wheeler! The Ride Over Gate works like spring-loaded cattle stop. Animals won't cross it because one wrong step and the gate will fly up and hit them in the face. The gate springs both ways so you can drive over it in either direction making it a valuable time saving tool to have on your property.

Works well with:

  • Center Pivot Irrigators.
  • Most motor bikes and 4-wheelers.
  • Mobile feed troughs making it easy to get out the pen without the calves!
  • Gators/Mules/Rangers/Pioneers and short wheel-based vehicles including Jeeps,
Suzuki Samurais and FJ40 Land Cruisers.
  • As a backup to the road gate next to your house and shed.

One of the best uses for a Ride Over Gate is in a pasture or gated field with pivot irrigators. The Irrigators tire can ride over and gently open the gate automatically and slowly closes it as it rolls over and through.

Benefits of the ride over gate in irrigation scenarios:

  • No electricity is needed.
  • Animals don't want to cross.
  • Heavy duty construction built to last.
  • No more tangling in wires or broken fences.

Every farm needs at least one of these:

  • The standard Ride Over Gate is roughly 6.5 feet across post to post.
  • It is also available in an 8-foot version.

Package includes:

  • 2 Gates and mounting brackets

What's not included:

  • 2 Posts (6 or 8 inch posts are most common)
  • Quantity of 6-8 Lag bolts to fasten brackets to posts

Frequently asked question:

  • How far should the base be off the ground to ensure the rocking mechanism is free of the dirt'.
    • It needs to be 3-4 inches, with timbre underneath the structure if a pivot irrigator is running over it.

Set up and usage tips:

  • The ROG can be set up to 45 degrees to the center pivot providing the pivot crosses it at the center point of the ROG base.  This way you don't require a dog-leg in the fence line.
  • Ensure pivot ruts are regularly filled where it crosses the gate to avoid damage to the ROG.
  • Do not run over the ROG with a vehicle that has over hang past the rear axle so as to prevent it from hooking on the ROG.
  • Add protective bar under Pivot Tower gearbox to ensure ROG doesn't damage gearbox when it passes between the two wheels.
  • If pivot comes to a halt on the ROG, do not reverse the center pivot unless the ROG is held down.
